Salchichón is often considered the Spanish equivalent of Italian salami. It's a superb sausage made from first grade meat. After chorizo, Salchichón is the second most popular Spanish sausage.
This traditional Spanish salami is made with quality cuts from free-range, acorn-fed pigs, seasoned with sea salt, black pepper (not the smoked paprika used for chorizo), ground nutmeg and white wine, stuffed into natural tripe and left to mature in cellars from 4 to 6 months.
Without the smokiness of the paprika, its rich acorn flavour shines through and each bite literally melts in your mouth!
Serve it on a warm plate to bring out its complex flavours and taste it with a glass of fine wine.
While this Spanish cold cuts gives its best on its own, you can also add it to sandwiches, fresh salads or pastas.
